Namibia2Go launches ‘green’ hybrid rental cars

Namibia2Go is the first car rental company in Namibia to add hybrid vehicles to its fleet. The Toyota Corolla Cross 1.8XS CVT HV is a dream for environmentally conscious traveler in Namibia. This rental car is not only fuel-efficient and has low CO2 emissions, it is also stylish, off-road capable and comfortable. Furthermore, it is equipped with the latest safety technology, 2x4 drive and a good ground clearance.

Test drives in Cape Town have shown that the Toyota Corolla Cross’ average petrol consumption is 4.7l/100 km, a great advantage in times when fuel prices are soaring to dizzying heights.

Officially confirmed! Gondwana has a green heart

Our sustainability efforts have once again been acknowledged with the highest seal of quality, awarded by the sustainable tourism certification programme Eco Awards Namibia. We now boast with 17 properties and offerings, which have the top five-flower rating. Categories include conservation and guiding, energy, water, legal compliance as well as staff management and health, amongst others.

Of these 17 lodges, seven have even received the coveted, elusive ‘Green’ Eco Flower Award with the focus on the environmental sections of conservation, water, energy and waste management. more
